Meeden Korea: Solid Watercolour Set!

I got this in the mail. It's so cute!!! MEEDEN KOREA Solid Water Colour set.

So I gave it a go. While making the colour swatches, the first colour that came to mind was Cinderella.

A while ago, I came across some original artwork that inspired the 1950 Cinderella film, and I remember thinking how beautiful it was. I told myself I wanted to paint it someday, so this felt like the perfect opportunity. :)

I also received a beautiful water colour sketchbook from a friend not long ago, so I couldn't wait to use it for this piece!

I hope you can see it as my own interpretation of Cinderella, painted in my own style.

Even though I haven't used solid watercolors very often, I found them easy and enjoyable to work with. With 50 beautiful colours to choose form, I hardly needed to mix any paints to create the atmosphere I wanted.

The palette is also very portable, and everything I need - brushes, paints, washi tape, and other supplies - fits neatly inside the case, so I already know I'll be taking it with me for future outdoor sketching trips.

I've tried many different art supplies over the years, but this palette is not only fun to sue - its also beautifully designed and feels like something worth keeping. It made me smile the moment I opened it.
